HOME: FAQ

DO I NEED A REFERENCE?

If you're not using 'flash' from the shop, it's best to have a solid reference to get what you're after. What makes a 'solid reference'? Legibility. Easy to see, or read, as an object or word/s.

WHAT IS "BLACK AND GREY?"

'Black and Grey' is "black and white", in simple terms. Used in the tattoo industry that's simply derived of the use adn shades of black ink. E.g. For any 2D design you see, whether on paper or monitor, that has a white background, black outline, and shades of grey that brings it all together for a legible design. That's "Black and Grey."

I WANT A TATTOO BUT NOT SURE WHAT TO GET?

Start with your reason/ing for getting a tattoo and see what imagery matches that best, for some direction. Simplify your motivation into stand alone words and  or Adjectives. With your narrowed word list, use it as key words to search and select "images" to see what comes up. Be open about your search keeping in mind what your one word/ theme is to see what matches or compliments best...

HOW MUCH IS A TATTOO?

Asking how much a tattoo is without, flat out, is no less different from asking a server, at a restaurant, 'how much is a meal?' You'd get a dead-pan look, waiting for more details to your preference... Would it be a Burger? Porterhouse? Short Rib? They All differ in Cost And Time to make. Asking 'how much for a tattoo' is no different. In the most simplist of terms.  So it really helps to specify what you're after when inquiring.

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT GETTNG A TATTOO?

Before getting a tattoo. You want to have the basics, for expediency and ease with your artist. And it all revolves around KNOWING WHAT YOU WANT. Have references, if possible, so its easy for you and artist to literally be on the same page. Know what SIZE and PLACEMENT you want it on. Print out your sample design or mock up and measure it on yourself if you need a physical idea. Trust this very simple approach.

You also want to Know how long your tattoo session may take to prep your day accordingly. Hhave your body prepared by Eating before hand, as well. Trust. It makes all the difference.

WHAT SHALL I WEAR?

Anything Comfortable and adjustable. The best advice is to wear something flexible or removable for the body part of choice. If it's for your sternum or breasts, consider buying "breast petals" or any alternative to have you personally comfortable. Above all else. Consult your artist for the best wear-gear.
